Our pressure sensitive and other adhesive products cover a wide range of items designed to be used on any material, from paper and wood to plastic or metal. Having initially entered the adhesive field with the import of «Double Face» double-sided tape in 1960, Toyo Ink went on to develop rubber, acrylic and urethane adhesives, laying the company’s foundations as an adhesive manufacturer. These days, in addition to offering applied products for purposes such as tape, labels, stickers and industrial materials, we also develop, manufacture and sell a full range of adhesives, including composite film adhesives for use in food packaging and hot-melt wax-based industrial adhesives. In recent years, we have branched out into optical film adhesives and heat-resistant adhesives typically used in electronics as well. Working in partnership with Nippon Polymer Ind. Co. Ltd. (adhesives and binders), Toyo-Morton, Ltd. (packaging adhesives) and Toyo ADL Co. Ltd. (hot-melt wax-based adhesives), we continually strive to expand the scope of application of adhesives.
We have a range of paint coating products for the inside and outside surfaces of steel and aluminum cans, designed to protect their contents, whatever they may be from soft drinks or beer to various food products, and prevent the surface of the can from getting damaged. Our food and drink can coatings in particular are highly functional products that take issues such as health, safety and flavor thoroughly into consideration at the quality design stages. As part of our ever-present focus on environmentally friendly products, we have also introduced aqueous technology in order to offer a range of water-based coatings. In addition to food cans, our products are also widely used to coat artistic cans and industrial metal containers (drums, pail cans, 18l cans, etc.).
Through Matsui Chemical Co. Ltd., we print lettering and images onto metal to make it look more attractive as well as manufacturing and selling a wide range of products such as metallic ink, which enables metal to be used as form of information media.
Our resins and related products are used in a range of different fields such as coatings, fibers, paper processing and adhesives, particularly «TOCRYL», a water-based environmentally friendly acrylic emulsion. In terms of other products, we have received high acclaim for «TIGHTSILANE», a water-based silane resin developed using our aqueous technology, thanks to its protective properties when applied to concrete. Our latest resin material in this field is «LIOSPHERE», a type of cross-linked single dispersion polymer developed using new polymerization technology unique to Toyo Ink.
Our «Double Face» double-sided tapes are used in numerous other fields in addition to general industry, including printing, electronic component, auto and construction related industries, and are well trusted by users throughout. We also have a wide range of other tapes such as electronic component carrier tapes, double-sided masking tapes «LIOELM» and heat-resistant tapes for special purposes «R Series».
With other applications including marking films (or “adhesive coatings”), which combine color with adhesive properties, our products are also used for a variety of signs and displays. Thanks to our unique functional products, primarily «DYNACAL» and «DYNACAL Media» outdoor marking films, we provide new signs and displays that guarantee customer satisfaction.
Manufactured and sold by Toyo-Morton, Ltd., the «Adcote», «Tomoflex» and «Ecoad» series of polyurethane and polyester adhesives (heat sealants for dry and print lamination, etc.) boast the highest levels adhesive performance across a wide range of fields, including packaging for snacks and vacuum-packed or instant food products, shopping bags, covers and seals for containers and packaging for medical equipment.
Manufactured by Toyo ADL Co. Ltd., «TOYOMELT» is widely used as an adhesive for purposes such as bookbinding (adhesive binding), caps and seals for paper and plastic containers, paper and cardboard box assembly, sanitary products, transparent cases and labeling on bottles.
Through Toyo ADL Co. Ltd., we sell natural waxes such as carnauba, montan and high-melting-point paraffin-micro, specialty synthetic waxes such as long-chain polyethylene, higher alcohol and maleic acid and various related aqueous dispersions.
