Toyo Ink offers a range of materials and supplies for printing processes. In particular, we sell superior printing materials both in Japan and overseas, including thermal CTP and PS plates for offset printing, photosensitive materials such as developing agent and offset materials such as printing blankets and cleaner.
Through Toyo Prepress Co. Ltd. meanwhile, we manufacture and sell high-precision gravure engraving cylinders that help enable high quality gravure printing. Drawing on the same expertise, we also provide flexographic plates.
 

Toyo Ink was the first manufacturer in Japan to design and produce color sample books for printing inks. Our sample books have been widely used on the shop floor in the graphic arts industry and a numerous other color-related industries ever since.
The latest version of our «COLOR FINDER» compresses a huge 1,050 colors into a compact book, with arrays of colors sorted according to the Munsell color system. Its simple design and smooth handling enable users to choose colors intuitively.
Compliant with Japan Color, the «TOYO INK Color Chart» is Toyo Ink’s sample book for standard color printing. In addition to ease of use and visibility, we have also added color management reference features so that it can be used as a comprehensive color matching tool.
Able to adapt flexibly to creative design work, Toyo Ink’s series of color sample books represent a must-have tool for anyone involved in aspects of printing or engraving that are required to adhere to rigorous color standards, graphic designers and anyone involved in color reproduction.
 

In the interests of universal design (UD) to assist people with impaired color perception, we provide our «Color Finder for UD» and «UDing Simulator» design support tools free of charge. In our capacity as a comprehensive color manufacturer, we aim to raise awareness regarding color universal design in order to help create a society in which everyone can live their lives comfortably.
These two color perception UD support tools are the combined product of Toyo Ink’s unique color technology built up over many years and the results of visual science research conducted by Professor Shigeki Nakauchi from the Toyohashi University of Technology Department of Information and Computer Sciences. There are currently a total of approximately 3,000 of these tools in use across a wide range of fields, from local governments and other public bodies to manufacturers, printers, sign makers, means of transport and NPOs.
