Tokyo, Japan — Toyo Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Kunio Sakuma, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will participate in IPEX 2010, the world’s largest class of technology fair for print, publishing and media, to be held in Birmingham, U.K. from Tuesday, May 18 through Tuesday, March 25, 2010.
[Toyo Ink’s Show Background and Basic Concept]
The Toyo Ink Group will participate in IPEX 2010, under the main theme of “feel the evolution.”
The Group has adopted a vision of becoming “a corporate group evolving into a globally useful specialty chemical manufacturer” in its New Vision SCC2017, the long-term plan currently underway, and conducts business and corporate activities with the objective of evolving into an internationally respected, science-oriented, corporate group. Participation in IPEX is positioned as part of the product and corporate promotion activities in line with this vision.
The principal theme ’evolution‚ refers to the evolutionary process of the Group described above. At the same time, it denotes the evolution of ink users operate with the aim of surviving and succeeding in the global printing industry, which is changing radically. Namely, the Group seeks to evolve to a higher level through the IPEX show, which brings together three parties — the Toyo Ink Group, print materials dealers in Europe and other countries around the world, and the current and future customers of the Group — each aiming to achieve further success, and builds the ties that can enable a collaborative network.
The exhibition of the Toyo Ink Group at IPEX 2010 will consist of the following specific concepts:
The lineup of printing ink optimized to diverse user needs
The Toyo Ink Group will introduce printing ink and peripheral material, which accommodate the diverse needs of each user in terms of cost performance, quality, functionality, environmental harmony, high productivity, convenience, application, or other aspect. The Group will also contribute to the globalization of the printing market in Europe by complying with European and global quality requirements, the RoHS and GHS in particular.
Maximized customer satisfaction on the global network
The Toyo Ink Group will present its global manufacturing network (which encompasses research & development, production, logistics and sales), showing how it enables users to enjoy print materials and services of Toyo Ink quality anywhere in the world. The Group aim to make Toyo Ink widely known as a new choice of print material suppliers, even to users who have not previously used Toyo Ink products.
High quality and high value-added products backed by an extensive array of technologies
The Toyo Ink Group can trace its history back more than a century. Over the years, the Group has developed a wide range of technologies in the manufacture of printing ink. These technologies have been applied to printing ink as well as other many different chemicals and materials, and the technical applications that have developed in these new areas have in turn represented innovative feedback for the printing ink industry.
In addition to high quality and high value-added print materials developed through this process, the Toyo Ink Group will also present at IPEX 2010 a new series of specialty chemical materials that could offer new business opportunities for the printing market.
[Exhibition Highlights]
The Toyo Ink Group booth at the IPEX show will showcase products, focusing mainly on products to be distributed in Europe, including printing ink, next-generation print materials, as well as multimedia material that encompasses the printing and non-printing industries. Given that the IPEX show is not a local event in the United Kingdom, but is a global event, the Group will provide information on products targeting the Asian and American regions. Further details on specific products to be exhibited will be announced.
In parallel with the product exhibition, the Group will also present specific business plans for Europe. The Europe Region of the Group has built a network of partners (agents) not only in EU countries but also in Eastern Europe and Russia. The Group plans to introduce the ways in which the products and services provided through the network will benefit the entire market. Details will be revealed at a later time, in a press release and at the exhibition site.
At IPEX 2010, the Toyo Ink Group basically plans product and corporate promotion activities, primarily for the European market. It also intends to take a proactive approach tailored to individual markets for visitors from regions outside Europe (North America, Latin America, and Asia, centered on India and China).
