ADDISON, Il. — Consumer needs are becoming increasingly diversified in the graphic arts market. TOYO INK GROUP has anticipated these evolving market needs by emphasizing higher functional and economic advantages in its product development. In keeping with TOYO INK GROUP’s mission of always envisioning new applications for its technologies, the theme of the TOYO INK GROUP exhibition at PRINT 05 & CONVERTING 05 is “THINK TECHNOLOGY. THINK TOYO INK.” This quadrennial event marks TOYO INK GROUP’s first participation in a graphic arts industry trade show in the United States.

TOYO inks cover the gamut of printing applications, regardless of the printing platform or substrate. TOYO INK GROUP’s contribution to PRINT 05 & CONVERTING 05 reflects the spectrum of high-tech solutions currently available, as well as next-generation formulations that are poised to change the look of print. The TOYO INK GROUP demonstration area (Booth #2087) will consist of three major sections:

TODAY’S BUSINESS will showcase the existing lineup of high-performance printing inks and related materials that are producing excellent results every day in every market segment of the graphic arts industry.

As its name suggests, TOMORROW’S BUSINESS will introduce showgoers to robust, versatile products TOYO INK GROUP plans to release soon to the market.

Cutting-edge technology slated for future delivery can be found in the FUTURE BUSINESS section.

Among the highlights in store for booth visitors are TOYO INK GROUP’s commercial high-quality sheetfed offset inks, which are renowned for their stunning visual impact, realistic tones and exceptional performance.

HyPlus EC, TOYO INK GROUP’s most popular process ink, combines strong contrast and high density with low dot gain under various screening applications.

HyUnity is a quick-setting, high-gloss formulation that enables printers to achieve high print contrast with low dot gain.

HYLITE delivers the performance benefits of TOYO sheetfed inks at an attractive price.

TOYO INK GROUP’s development team has created the ultimate in sheetfed process inks. The HyPlus 100 Process Series is free of petroleum ink solvents, so it’s the environmentally friendly choice for the pressroom. And it contains 100 percent solids, ensuring a sharp dot and high mileage. What’s more, HyPlus 100 affords superior rub resistance and supports various coatings.

As a leader in energy-curable ink formulations for sheetfed and web offset printing, TOYO INK GROUP offers a family of ultraviolet (UV) and hybrid products that achieve great curability, runability and functionality. TOYO INK GROUP will spotlight its HYBRID Process Series inks, UV Paper Process Series inks and others.

TOYO INK GROUP is proud to introduce advanced printing sciences and applications for TOMORROW’S BUSINESS. One of the most exciting developments, the REXALPHA SP™ Series, is a breakthrough conductive ink for printing RFID antennas directly onto paper or film packaging. REXALPHA can significantly lower the cost of RFID tagging on labels and packaging, and offer smart tag security with exceptional application flexibility. It has proven compatible with most printing processes, including screen, flexography and gravure.

As more people in the world mature and begin to experience vision impairment, it is important to pay attention to the design and selection of colors. Another significant new TOYO INK GROUP innovation, Color Vision Barrier Free Technology, enables people who have color vision deficiencies to accurately read and view printed matter.

TOYO INK GROUP has assumed a major role in digital media. TOYO INK GROUP’s Resist Ink for liquid crystal display (LCD) color filters utilizes the essence of pigment synthesis and ink production technologies to enrich color filter performance.

TOYO INK GROUP continues to expand into new technology fields. In the FUTURE BUSINESS section, visitors will see next-generation polymer EL materials developed for Organic Light-Emitting Diode display. TOYO INK GROUP has prepared high-efficiency red and green EL devices, and will develop materials for these devices with high emission efficiency, long life and full color.

TOYO INK GROUP has developed key materials for dye-sensitized solar cells by applying pigment synthesis technology, particle surface improvement technology, dispersion technology and polymer synthesis technology developed in the field of printing ink.
Examples will be on display at PRINT 05 & CONVERTING 05.

To experience these eye-catching technologies and more, visit the TOYO INK GROUP booth at PRINT 05 & CONVERTING 05, September 9-15 at Chicago’s McCormick Place Complex.
